This is great…

Does that mean it’s got nothing to do with me? There’s no application? Absolutely no. It’s about Him but it’s for me and you. The Scriptures are for making you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (2 Tim. 3:15). It’s precisely when I see that the Bible is all about Jesus that it is supremely able to teach, rebuke, correct, and train in true righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16).  Paul reads Christ all over Exodus and Numbers and says these are warnings for us (1 Cor. 10:1-6). Paul reads Christ all over the Psalms and says these are encouragements for us (Rom. 15:1-4). “It’s for us because it’s about him.”
