The last day and we were sent out with a great encouragement to ‘be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus’ as we seek to practice these things, preach the apostolic gospel, work hard, not cut corners, keep going and pass on the baton to others (2 Tim. 2:1-7).
Thanks so much to all those who have been praying for this week. God has been very good to us, relationships have grown, the Word has been preached unhindered, we’ve all been learning lots and enjoying the riches of God’s self-revelation.
Please pray for pastors, evangelists, elders and youth workers going back this weekend to contexts where everything will be working to pull them away from a faithful word ministry, where the perceptions are that expository preaching is boring, irrelevant, intellectual, unspiritual. Pray for continued confidence in the sufficiency and power and delight of God’s Word of Grace. Pray for guys to join Langham preachers’ groups. Pray for a growing movement in Kenya committed to Christ-centred preaching, gospel-driven ministry and kingdom-minded mission.
